Castamatic app was developed by Franco Solerio as a freemium, ad supported application.
This page is used to inform Castamatic users regarding our policies regarding collection, use and disclosure of user’s Personal Information.
We don’t collect or use any identifiable personal information of our users. This includes email addresses, names, age, gender, affiliation.
All user’s data is archived on his own iCloud account, to which we have no access. Data archived on iCloud includes url of subscribed podcasts and listened episodes progress markers. Only the user has access to data on his iCloud account and Apple ensures data safety and privacy as per iCloud policies.
Like many other apps we gather anonymous, aggregate stats on app usage. This includes number of listened podcasts, number of times the app is activated during the day, percentage of users who subscribe to a podcast, or use a particular feature. We also collect crash reports to find and fix bugs and improve the app functionality.
Castamatic is supported by advertising. Users who are not subscribed to our Premium option are shown ads from AdMob platform. Privacy policy for AdMob can be found at this link. When a user subscribes to Castamatic-premium via in app purchase, we show no ads and no usage data is available to the AdMob network.
A premium subscription is available to remove all ads. The subscription is available via an in app purchase that will be charged on your iTunes account after your confirmation of the purchase. The user’s account will be automatically charged in the 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. Auto-renewal can be turned off at any time in the settings in the iTunes Store after the purchase. The launch price for the premium subscription is 4.99USD for one year of subscription, and can vary for different countries and currencies.
Castamatic lets the user share a link to an episode of a podcast, with an optional time marker to indicate the listening position. The server providing this links stores no personal data about the user who initiates the sharing activity or the users who access the page at that link. The only stored data in the log file from the webserver are the link url and the current time and date, and does not include the IP address of the user.
Castamatic displays content from third-party podcast feeds and sites, and downloads podcast files directly from the podcast’s owner servers. These have their own privacy policies and we have no responsibility or liability on their content or activities.
